Every change meant 80 person-hours of validation: tracing requirements, rewriting test protocols, collecting evidence and assembling the package by hand.

A change order goes in, and a complete, traceable validation package comes out: impact assessment, requirements traced to evidence, regenerated protocols, executed tests and the review and sign-off workflow around them.
